EuTech to Exhibit at
Pittcon 2008
EuTech will be exhibiting at the 2008 Pittsburgh
Conference March 2-6, 2008 in New Orleans. Please visit us at Booth
#6914. We are also presenting two talks:
Sunday, March 2, 2008 (1PM, Room 264, Session
170):
"Analysis of Bleed in GC Inlet Port Septum"
Tuesday, March 4, 2008 (3:25PM, Room 269, Session
1510): "Analysis of Extractables in Nylon Filters"
EuTech Presents Talk at EAS
2007 - "Determination of L-Carnitine and Acetyl Carnitine by
Capillary Electrophoresis."
Dr. Raghvendra Sahai presented a talk at the 2007
Eastern Analytical Symposium titled "Determination of
L-Carnitine and Acetyl Carnitine by Capillary Electrophoresis."
EuTech Presents Lecture at CE-Pharm, "CE of
Quaternary Ammonium Compounds"
Dr. Raghvendra Sahai presented a talk at the 2007 CE
Pharm in Miami, FL, "CE of Quaternary Ammonium Compounds". In this
talk, Dr. Sahai spoke of the developments in the use of capillary
electrophoresis to analyze quaternary ammonium compounds, along with
several methods developed at EuTech for specific compounds.
EuTech Expands Laboratory
Space
EuTech has expanded it's laboratory space to over 5000
sq. ft.
EuTech Acquires LC-MS/MS
EuTech has acquired a new LC-MS/MS. The Agilent /
Finnigan TSQ LC-MS/MS system increases our capabilities in this
area.
EuTech
Acquires New Capillary Flow Porometer
EuTech has acquired and installed
a state-of-the-art capillary flow porometer from Porous Materials
Inc. The CFP-1100-AEXL capillary flow porometer is versatile - it
allows the user to test samples under compression, tension, elevated
temperature, or an appropriate chemical environment, thereby
simulating operating conditions. Samples tested include filter
media, membranes, paper. Tests include bubble point, mean pore size,
pore size distribution, and filter integrity. In addition, we also
have the capability to measure gas and liquid permeability.
EuTech
Coauthors Publication with DEA
EuTech coauthored a research paper with the Special Chemistry
laboratory of the U.S. Drug Enforcement Agency. "Use
of dynamically coated capillaries for forensic drug
analysis" was coauthored by Ira Lurie of the DEA. This is
the third paper that EuTech has coauthored with the DEA in the past
two years!
EuTech Acquires New Capillary Electrophoresis
System
EuTech has acquired a new Agilent HP3DCE with
Chemstation. This instrument is a state-of-the-art CE system. The
HP3DCE offers such benefits as:
 | HPLC-like
reproducibility, sensitivity and
linearity |
 | Integrated software with
graphical user interface |
 | Pioneering new
separation techniques, including capillary
electrochromatography (CEC) and capillary electrophoresis mass
spectrometry (CE/MS ) extensive
regulatory compliance tools
|

This HP3DCE will be used in many applications including ion
analysis, trace metal analysis, glucosamine and natural product
analysis, oligonucleotide, DNA, and protein analysis.
EuTech Acquires New GC
Instrument
EuTech has recently acquired and installed an Agilent
HP6890 GC with autosampler. The Agilent 6890 Plus GC is the
foundation for Agilent's most advanced system for gas-phase
analyses. This GC has all the flexibility and performance required
for research and method development in any industry. It is also
rugged and reliable, so it can be used for routine methods that
require multiple columns or valves, specialty inlets or detectors,
or a broad temperature range.

Filtration Chapter in Encyclopedia of Separation
Science
EuTech has written an extensive article
on filtration, including filtration mechanism, membrane filtration,
microfiltration, depth filtration, filtration matrices, filtration
devices, filtration applications, and filtration validation. This
was recently published as a chapter in the Encyclopedia of
Separation Science.
